AN AUTHENTIC RURAL EXPERIENCE

A unique NZ farm experience, with the farm owner. Interact with the cutest sheep in the world, meet horses and see a beehive working. Learn about the history of this rare breed of sheep, the Valais Blacknose and how they came to NZ. The tour goes through sheep paddocks and vineyards, with gentle hills, and requires average fitness. Pick herbs and feed them to our heritage hens. Meet Sammy the smallest horse in NZ. If the weather is bad, we will bring the sheep and horses into the barn, so nobody gets wet. See the products we make on site from the wool, including felted rugs, knitted and woven blankets and toys.  Taste the honey from our hive, and the wine from our vineyard. These are for sale along with the woollen products. End the tour back at the barn.
